Cornell Nepal Study Program

Pokhara is the famous & beautiful city of Nepal situated on the bank of Phewa lake (largest lake in Nepal) surrounded by various natural enrichment such as famous mountains to the North, Begnas & Rupa lakes to the east & evergreen forests. The route of the trek is named after the trekking of Royal family (with Late King Mahendra) around 1960 A.D. It provides best excitements with Annapurna region’s natural beauty for those trekkers who have a short holidays. Besides, the trekkers may have many chances to sight various flora and funa around the trail. And way back to Kathmandu half-day rafting in Trisuli River.

ITINERARY

Day 01:

Arrival at Kathmandu airport-transfer to hotel, pre-briefing about the trek.

Day 02:

sightseeing around KTM valley major places with city guide, welcome dinner.

Day 03:

Early morning private transport (BUS) to Begnas Lake 995m.

Day 04:

Begnas -Kalikasthan 1400m.

Day 05:

Kalikasthan - Lamabagar 1100m.

Day 06:

Lamabagar -Pokhara.

Day 07:

Transfer to rafting start point at Trisuli River (4hrs.raft),
after the rafting drive to Kathmandu.

Day 08:

Free day at Kathmandu for shopping, farewell dinner.

Day 09:

Fly back to home.

-	4 night hotel accommodation on bed & brekfast plan.
-	Kitchen/camping gears such as member, dinning, toilet tent & foam mattresses.
-	Trek staffs such as trekking guide, cook & kitchen helpers, Sherpa, porters and their insurance, foods, salary & accommodation.
-	Trekking permit, national park permit fees or conservation entry fees.
-	Ground transport and domestic airfare as per the itinerary.
-	Sightseeing in Kathmandu valleys' major places with tour guide.
COST EXCLUDES:
-	Int'l airfare & excess baggage charge above the 25kg. in domestic flight
-	All meal during the stay at Kathmandu.

Trekking/Climbing Grades
A	Easy walking
B	Moderate walking (although the trek itself may be quite long)
C	Fairly vigorous hill walking
D	Strenuous trekking involving altitude up to 18000ft, not always on established trails
E	Climbing involving snow and ice.
