Everest Region Renjo La pass Trek to Gokyo Altitude 5340m. | | | | This was our first trip to the Nepal Himalayas. We were slightly nervous and overwhelmed at first then a friend recommended that we email Jiban Ghimire at Sherpa Shangri-La Treks to help organize our trip. We had a general idea of the trekking peaks we wanted to climb. With Jiban's amazing knowledge of all the mountains and conditions we were able to choose which ones to climb. Jiban is an excellent communicator via email and this helped us complete our very custom itinerary efficiently. Jiban's connections in Nepal were evident. Our trip was was absolutely seamless!! Our porters and most of all our trip leader, Bharat Kharki were experienced and very pleasant to be with. Not only did I have a great trip but I made lifelong friends! Many thanks to Jiban for an excellent trip. | | Chris Lohss, USA | | This is the entirely new trek in Khumbu Region. | | This trek has "everything". The trekkers can get very close to Tibetan border on this trek, when we cross the Renjo La pass for the finest views of the whole massif including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse & Pumori. An ideal trek for those wising to go less tourist area for several days, yet who also have an interest in the local traditions and culture | | This trek offers an alternative to the traditional trek to Everest base camp. Climb past the Sherpa villages of Namche Bazaar and Khumjung to the Gokyo Valley and the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest in the Nepal Himalaya. From Gokyo Ri four 8000-metre peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu) are visible at once. | | |
